Wagga Fishing World was opened in the spring of 1997 at the old location at 1 Pearson St Wagga. The store was built to fill a need in the local area for a specialist freshwater tackle shop with honest, friendly and knowledgeable service. Since it’s inception we have grown consistently over the years until a move to the brighter and larger premises at the Drive-in Leisure Centre was called for.

This was done to expand the stocks and services we provide on a much larger scale. The new centre is located on the outskirts of Wagga Wagga, which is one of the biggest inland cities in New South Wales. The Drive-In Leisure Centre is a collection of 7 businesses that cater to all you outdoor needs including boats, bikes, golf, skiing, camping and gardening. Along with the tackle shop, we manufacture Legend Lures on the premises. This gives us an insight into what fishermen require in a quality lure. Our expertise in this field allows us to pass on lots of useful information to all anglers from novice to expert through our retail store.

The lures are also wholesaled to tackle shops all over Australia and New Zealand. Our passion for fishing is demonstrated in the way the store attractively show-cases old fishing memorabilia, notice boards on what’s biting & a complete wall of past captures, water features, a 3000 litre aquarium and a huge stock of the latest tackle available. The store is themed along the lines of the old country shack that we all loved in the quieter times of our lives.

The whole concept behind Wagga Fishing World was to provide the people of Wagga and districts with a tackle shop that supplies quality bait, affordable tackle and the most up to date information available.
